The Pan Gu Immortal Relics is one of the eight scenic spots in Huadu District. Legend has it that 1,500 years ago,the Yao nationality, migrating from the Central Plains to Huadu District, built "King Pan Gudom in South Sea" in the Pan Gu Cavern ofTimian Town. In Ming Dynasty, the Yao people were repressed, and thus the Pan Gu Temple was destroyed. On the way of fleeing from their home, the Yao compatriots brought the immortal stele from the temple to the Mountain Lu (now called the King Pan Gu Mountain) of Shiling Town. The King Pan Gu Mountain adjoins the Lotus Hill and has the King Pan Gu Temple on it, which is said to be the place where Pan Gu separated heaven from earth. When climbing the mountain, you would see undulating hills, layer upon layer of green forests, winding valley streams, and smokes curling up from kitchen chimneys, which presents a vast panorama of peace and harmony. The main scenic spots incorporate: the Pan Gu Altar, the Xinbai Pavilion, the Longkou Springs, the Pan Gu Crouching Stone, the Peace Bridge, and the Sacred Tortoise Pond.
